The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferris
The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferris
Ferris' book describes his approach to getting out of a 9-5 lifestyle. The premise is that by following his guidance, you can continue to make a healthy amount of money, but spend no more than four hours each week actually working, most of that simply checking on progress and answering strategic questions.
Not everything he suggests is workable unless you're single and willing to have few ties to any one location, but there are a large number of fascinating concepts that any ready will find to be applicable.
I'm nowhere near achieving a maximum of four hours, but his ideas have given me a new way to think about the things I do and how I might be able to eventually automate or outsource those things.
I've given away copies of the book and go back and look through my copy about every three months just to refresh myself on his ideas and consider how I might make better use of my own time.
- Timothy's concepts are indeed fascinating. He manages to outsource most every aspect of his life that we all consider important. Outsourcing reduces his stress levels and increases productivity. The ironic thing about this and what we do, many of the people that Timothy outsources to have benefited from the work Scojo has done with their "within arms reach" program around the world.
