One Door Away From Heaven by Dean Koontz

Dean Koontz is by far my favorite author. I have read many of his published works, and my favorite is still one of the first books I read. "One Door Away From Heaven" is an adventure story where slightly normal characters are required to step out of the ordinary in order to make a difference.

Koontz requires a level of imagination and open-mindedness in his writing. "One Door Away From Heaven" follows more than a handful of characters who come together at the end of the book.

An element that I love about this book and most of the books Koontz writes about is his admiration for the faithful dog. An animal lover myself, I never tire of his depictions of the smarter-than-average canine sidekick.

The tramatic story line and the danger element in his book pulls me in every time and I can never put the book down. You feel a part of the story, involved in the tale.
