Reading Glasses as a Spare Pair

I've had about four pair of eyeglasses over the years but one thing I found surprisingly effective was buying backup reading glasses online. They are very inexpensive, $50, and are great as a backup to losing your glasses. I also keep a set in the car since I don't always take my reading glasses when I go out.

-Thanks for the story. I would like to add that using reading glasses as a backup "regular pair" of eyeglasses really only works for those that are mildly farsighted. How can you tell? look at your prescription. If the first set of numbers have a plus sign (+) in front of them, then you are farsighted. If the numbers are under a +3.00, then you are considered "mildly farsighted".

Reading glasses are not at all a substitute for a regular pair of glasses, rather an aid to help those that have presbyopia (which is pretty much everybody who has reached the young age of 40) to read a little clearer. (And in our case, look fabulous while doing it!)
