Never Got Used to That Prescription
When I first got my glasses, I thought the prescription was too strong, and that I had messed up during the exam somehow.
They reminded me of a rear view mirror in a car, where the warning states that "objects in mirror may be closer than they appear." I felt extremely tall, and everything looked too close. The eye doctor told me it would be like that for a little while and then I would get used to it and it would seem normal.
I didn't get used to it, though. I still rarely wear my glasses, and I probably should, because I do not see well at all. I wear them when I drive, because if I didn't, I couldn't read any road signs until I was right on top of them almost.
-Thanks for submitting this story, It sounds like you might want to have your prescription re-checked, or at least those eyeglasses. With great styles out there like the ones we carry from EyeBobs, you should also remember that glasses can be fashionable as well. Ofcourse, they have to help you see first.
