A Beautiful Boy - a revealing story
A Beautiful Boy: Nic Sheff
This book was a great read. Just raw and honest. About a dad struggling with his son's addiction to morphine and other drugs. The son would lie, cheat, steal, go into half way houses etc…but the father never gave up. He just kept on trying. In fact, it's beautiful because Nic Sheff is so open and honest about everything.
Sometimes, we tend to try to cover up the real truth and this book reveals it all. I kept this book and my folding reading glasses close while I was traveling. An amazing breakthrough for me was how the author made me very conscious of the drug problems that are facing America's youth today. It's not the poor, it's not the homeless, it's just about every teenager out there, who can get their hands on mind altering substances.
